The Tremont Business Center located at the corner of South Tremont Street and Minnesota Avenue has been sold for $2,000,000 in a Lockwood brokered transaction. Lockwood has managed the property for over 20 years and it has always been a desirable location for automotive and motorcycle businesses. The buildings were originally developed in the 1950’s by the Richardson Brothers Construction Company and they will now be converted to a Corworking office center. The buyer Fabric Investments chose the site due to its location near the beach and it is also adjacent to the Bagby Brewery that was a former BMW dealership. Lockwood also brokered the Bagby lease over 5 years ago which was the impetus of change in the area. The Tremont center was attractive for redevelopment because it has plenty of onsite parking combined with some very unique truss ceilings and brick wall components that will create a trendy design when mixed with new architectural elements.
